Grievance & Redressal Committee
The Grievance Committee shall consider the individual grievances raised by the concerned aggrieved students of the college.
This Committee shall enforce total prohibition of any activities indulged by the students and maintain proper discipline
inside the College and Hostel premises. The committee also assists the college anti-ragging committee in preventing ragging
in the College and/or Hostel premises.
It is the members responsibility to guarantee that any grievance made by a student is properly addressed.
The committee ensures that there is no discrimination among students based on caste, creed, gender, or any other factor.
Students are assured that no discrimination, unfair assessment practices, harassment, or victimization will be tolerated,
and that their welfare and well-being will always be prioritized.
OBJECTIVE:
To provide opportunities for redress of certain grievances of students of this college.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The committee shall allow students to put forward their grievances freely and honestly, without fear of ill-treatment.
- The committee shall allow online/offline submission of student grievances.
- The committee shall maintain at least two suggestion boxes at prominent places in the college premises to register complaints regarding ragging/suggestions.
- The committee shall verify complaints received through suggestion boxes, inquire into the issues, and recommend resolutions.
- The committee shall review suggestions/complaints raised during Mentor-Mentee meetings.
- The committee shall examine/inquire and recommend punishments or remedial measures in cases of:
- Loitering in corridors during college working hours
- Indiscipline in college campus and hostel premises
- Complaints of ragging
- Complaints of eve-teasing and harassment of weaker sections
- Grievances raised by students
- Any activity damaging discipline and harmony of the college
REFERENCE TERMS:
- To prepare the Policy Document related to Grievance & Redressal Mechanism.

If a student member of the Grievance Committee is related to the grievance of the aggrieved individual,
or if the aggrieved student is a member of this committee, the concerned student member shall not
participate in the deliberations regarding that individual’s case.

The final settlement of any grievance shall be made within a reasonable period
(normally not exceeding one week) after recommendations are submitted to the Director/Principal.
- Ensures that grievances are resolved on time and impartially.

Welfare Committee
The Welfare Committee will look after the measures for the welfare of the employees, staff and students of SREC.
It also provides a platform for all the SRECians to share their experiences and views/suggestions to improve wellbeing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Welfare Policy Document for providing various benefits to the faculty, staff, and students.
- Giving personal attention to individuals (staff/students) regarding their difficulties.
- Consider recreational and healthcare facilities for faculty and staff.
- Attend to difficulties faced by survivors of deceased employees and render help through personal visits and compassionate appointments.
- Attend family functions like marriages, housewarming, and present gifts.
- Identify needy and poor students and recommend them for the SREC Poor Students’ Fund.
- Scrutinize student applications and recommend financial support to deserving students.
- Recommend students for incentives/awards based on achievements in academics, attendance, etc.
- Document all the above information for future reference.

Arts & Cultural Committee
The Cultural Committee shall promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in performing various arts.
The committee shall also plan, arrange, and conduct suitable programs in the college and engage in selecting talented students to participate in competitions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES @ CULTURAL:
- Prepare the Policy Document related to providing facilities for organizing and giving benefits to the students.
- The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter-collegiate cultural events in the College.
- Plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year (tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the Institute).
- The Convener of the committee shall conduct a meeting to discuss and delegate tasks.
- Coordinate to conduct events arranged for students, including:
- Fresher’s Day
- Teachers’ Day
- Festival Celebrations
- Engineers Day
- National Science Day
- Farewell / Annual Day
- Any other cultural events like singing, dancing, rangoli competition, mehandi competition, etc.

Sports & Games Committee
This committee shall provide healthy leisure time for every student of the Institute and shall motivate students to participate in University Zonal, Inter Zonal, and other reputed tournaments and sports activities.
The committee shall also organize various sports events in the institute.

- Prepare the Policy Document related to the aspects of the facilities required for organizing and providing benefits to the students.

- Keeping stock of previous and current years’ sports goods/items
- Ordering sports goods in consultation with the Head of the Institution
- Arranging the venues for sports events in consultation with the Institution

Alumni Coordination Cell
The committee shall facilitate interaction between the alumni and current students of the college to create awareness about industry needs, standards, state of technology, etc.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the Alumni association activities and periodical memberships, encouraging fund contributions towards institutional development.
- Conduct alumni meets, invite alumni to share industry experiences, and assist in inviting companies for placements and experts for guest lectures.
- Participate actively in strategic and long-range program planning to promote alumni awareness, engagement, and commitment to the Institute.
- Encourage highly qualified and diverse alumni to share their views with students.
- Develop strong working relationships with other Alumni Council members.
- Assist current students and alumni in career planning, placement, and transitions.
- Maintain alumni details (outgoing/out-gone batches) and group them department-wise via (i) group mails, (ii) Facebook group, (iii) WhatsApp group.
- Share achievements, programs, events, symposiums, and workshops of the college with alumni via emails or other platforms.
- Keep alumni information updated whenever there are changes in position, place, or company.
- Finalize the date, guests, etc., for the Alumni meet.

Professional Body Committee
The committee should motivate all Teaching Staff, Technical Staff, and students to be members of various professional societies such as ISTE, IETE, IE, CSI, IEEE, and IEEE Students’ Chapters.
The committee shall plan events by availing grants and support from these professional societies periodically to enable staff and students to develop their knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities.

System Monitoring Committee
The committee shall periodically monitor all systems and ICT-related works across various departments and ensure all equipment performances are at satisfactory levels throughout the semester/year.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve the campus-wide LAN in close association with the user departments, catering to all users across the campus.
- Monitor Wi-Fi routers and access points.
- Ensure repairs and services are up-to-date.
- Act as a resource center to supplement classroom instructions with laboratory sessions.
- Accommodate as the central computing facility and maintain a library for software and manuals.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply and institute internet facility.
- Provide infrastructure for administering Bank IBPS, GMAT, NSCA, and other government online aptitude tests conducted by trained CSE staff.
- Submit proposals to the National Supercomputing Mission to enhance research and parallel computing infrastructure on campus.
- Maintain accountability for Interactive Panel Boards, desktops, laptops, DLPs, UPS, data cards, software, antivirus, pendrives, etc., available in the college.

NSS Unit
The committee shall give an extensive dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to do community service to uplift rural people. The committee shall also organize various social awareness activities in rural areas with the help of NSS student volunteers. Library Committee
The Library Committee shall take proper measures to develop, improve, and maintain the library as per the norms and standards in all respects. The committee shall periodically monitor its functions for the effective use of the students and staff.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect list of Books, E-books, Journals, and E-Journals every semester from Heads of various Departments to be subscribed.
- Prepare the lists of Books, E-books, Journals, and E-Journals as per the requirements of various departments.
- Finalize the list of books, journals, and magazines for the institute as well as departmental libraries and propose budgetary estimates to the administration.
- Monitor and maintain active membership for learning and other e-resources.
- Monitor the remote access facility for learning resources and encourage students for effective usage.
- Maintain and index the received books, journals, review books, and project reports.
- Suggest improvements to run the library smoothly, orderly, and satisfactorily.
- Plan and implement library automation, procedures, digital library development, and usage.
- Maintain discipline in the library.
- Display motivational quotations and photos of great personalities/leaders.
- Monitor entries in the logbook of faculty and students.

Newsletter & Media Committee
The News-letter & Media Committee shall provide regular means of information and communication among staff and students of the Institute through the newsletter - SPARKS, published twice every year. The committee shall broadcast news about the activities and developments of the college, achievements of the faculty/staff and students, events organized and attended, competitions participated in and won, current technological developments, etc. This cell also promotes various activities organized on the college premises through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, etc. It verifies the content/events related to the departments to be uploaded on the college website.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect all necessary data and particulars from all departments/sections at frequent intervals through prescribed formats. Procedure includes:
- Preparing messages from the Chairman, Managing Director & Principal, along with achievements of the college.
- Collecting information from all departments including new faculty, faculty achievements, student achievements, grants, conducted/attended conferences, programs, placement details, NSS activities, and publications by faculty & students.
- Edit and prepare the rough copy with the information collected.
- Prepare a consolidated report enumerating all important activities of all departments/sections and convey them in the form of a newsletter periodically.
- Compile the newsletter in the required format and arrange to send it to concerned members, departments, or other institutes as desired.
- Create official college accounts on all major social media platforms.
- Upload and circulate programs organized by departments on the college premises.
- Ensure maximum subscribers on all social media platforms and post at least one 4–5 minute video on YouTube every month.
- Verify the following information from departments to update the website:
- Entry of newly joined faculty.
- Programs organized such as workshops, seminars, guest lectures, symposiums, club events, etc.
- Faculty achievements such as results, grants, conferences, publications.

This committee ensures the effective implementation of the guidelines, policies, and programs of the Government of India, UGC, and State Governments regarding backward castes, classes, and physically challenged students.
OBJECTIVES:
- To create a platform where backward students can point out their problems regarding academic and non-academic matters.
- To monitor the implementation of the reservation policy in the institution.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the Policy Document.
- Resolve grievances of SC/ST students and employees of the college and provide necessary assistance in solving academic as well as administrative problems.
- Collect data regarding the implementation of policies in respect of admissions and appointments to teaching and non-teaching positions, and inform the concerned stakeholders.
- Counsel students to help them overcome inferiority complex related to interaction with fellow students, personal grooming, etc.
- Create awareness and publicize through circulars to all faculty members and inform students about various Government and Non-Government scholarship schemes.
- Carry out any tasks or activities assigned by the university, Government, or AICTE.

Women Empowerment Cell
The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) at SREC is established to empower women faculty, staff, and students by addressing issues pertaining to women and creating a safe college campus.
It provides a platform for women to share experiences and suggest ways to improve and empower themselves. The main objective is to promote gender sensitivity and conduct programs that educate and sensitize both male and female members, fostering a harmonious campus atmosphere.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CELL:
- To promote a culture of respect and equality for women.
- To help women students understand their strength and potential.
- To provide opportunities and programs for financial, mental, and emotional empowerment of women.
- To conduct seminars and workshops to impart knowledge and train women.

- To provide a platform for complaints and grievance redressal.
