Career Development Cell (CDC)

The Career Development Cell (CDC) of Santhiram Engineering College plays a pivotal role in guiding students towards successful professional careers. The cell functions as a bridge between academic learning and industry expectations, ensuring that every student is equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and exposure to excel in today’s competitive world. Through strategic training, continuous assessment, and personalized mentorship, the CDC empowers students to make informed career decisions and become industry-ready graduates.

CDC works collaboratively with faculty coordinators, industry experts, and training partners to design holistic development programs that cover technical skills, aptitude, soft skills, communication, and emerging technologies. The Cell also takes responsibility for organizing workshops, seminars, industrial tours, internship programs, and company-specific training sessions that enhance employability. Its objective is not only to support students in securing placements but also to nurture their overall professional growth, confidence, and career clarity.

With strong industry connections, multiple MOUs, and a proactive approach to student development, the Career Development Cell continuously works towards improving placement performance and expanding opportunities for students across all engineering disciplines.

Dr. J. David Sukeerthi Kumar, Dean of the Career Development Cell, leads the CDC with a vision to create a dynamic, skill-driven, and industry-aligned learning ecosystem. With extensive experience in engineering education, academic administration, and student training initiatives, he plays a crucial role in shaping the college’s placement and career development strategies. Under his leadership, the CDC has introduced structured training programs, collaborated with renowned industry partners, expanded placement opportunities, and strengthened the skill development framework for all year groups. His passion for student success, innovation in training methodologies, and commitment to excellence have significantly enhanced the career readiness of students.

Dr. P. Surendra Babu, serves as the Associate Dean of the Career Development Cell. Representing the ECE Department, he oversees all central operations of the CDC and plays a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and executing major initiatives of the Cell. In addition to his central responsibilities, he coordinates all training, development, and placement-related activities for the ECE, CSM, and MCA departments. His systematic approach, strong administrative support, and commitment to student growth greatly contribute to the smooth functioning of CDC programs and effective collaboration across departments.

Mr. S. Seetha Ramudu, serves as a CDC Coordinator and brings dedicated support to the Career Development Cell. A faculty member from the EEE Department, he oversees all training, placement, and development activities for the CSD and MBA departments. He ensures smooth coordination between departments, training partners, and the CDC, contributing significantly to student preparedness and the effective implementation of CDC initiatives.
