ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academic planning & Academic audit.
To guide and assist to finalize the Time-Table for theory and practical classes every semester, in time.
To monitor the appointed faculty strength against the AICTE sanctioned intake.
To monitor the individual staff work load fixed by the departments. Allocation of lecture halls, laboratory slots without any overlapping etc., effectively.
To analyze the University results every semester, sorting out problems, suggesting remedial measures for implementation to improve the result.
To monitor the process of teaching, training and testing activities regularly.
To monitor the effective utilization of ICT tools for teaching training and testing activities regularly.
Recording and maintaining all academic related activities of the students in the concerned Dept. (like MOOCs, any other training/quality enhancement courses/certificates)
Scheduling Toppers as well as Academically Week Students Meetings with the HOD.
Ensuring that ECAP/SMART VIDHYA is updated with all necessary information like faculty/student data, daily attendance, mid marks posting, sem end results entry etc.
Counseling to students on Academic & Non-Academic matters and collects written information in the counseling book.
To ensure the ratio of mentor – mentee for effective student counseling
To motivate, counseling and guiding the students to improve their behavior and performance to achieve excellence in their education and endeavors.
To send proposals to AICTE, UGC etc., for continuation of approval / introduction of new courses.
To co-ordinate among the departments to apply for various schemes/grants to AICTE, UGC etc.,
To discuss and finalize necessary rules, norms and guidelines to carryout various activities/programs for the effective and smooth functioning of the institute.
To motivate all departments and sections to have long term / short term budgets to improve and develop the various planned activities of the departments /section.
