Dr. MAKAM VENKATA SUBRAMANYAM has been working as a professor of ECE and Principal of SANTHIRAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE since the inception of the college in 2007.

Dr. SUBRAMANYAM, received B.E in Electronics and Communication from Gulbarga University, Karnataka, M. Tech in Digital Systems and Computer Electronics and Ph.D. in Wireless Adhoc Networks from JNTU Hyderabad. He is the recipient of SARASWATHI SHIKSHA RATTAN AWARD, from International Business Council (IBM), New Delhi; BEST TEACHER AWARD in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Andhra Pradesh from Global Education Excellence Awards;   and TEACHING EXCELLENCY AWARD from Indo-Global Education Summit.

He is a senior member of IEEE and member of IETE, ISTE and IE(I).  His research interests include Wireless Networks, Image Processing and Control Systems. He is an author / co-author to six books and 150+ manuscripts published in various reputed International / National journals and conferences. He is an Editorial Board Member/ Reviewer of several National/ International reputed journals. He acted as a Chair/ Convener for several International/ National Level Conferences/ Symposiums.

He has 27 years of teaching experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Under his guidance 8 research scholars are awarded Ph.D in the area of Wireless Networks, Image Processing and Control Systems and currently 8 scholars are pursuing. He guided 42 M.Tech projects in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He completed seven research projects funded by various funding organizations like Institute of Engineers IE(I) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). He received an Indian Patent for his contribution and novel research work entitled “A New Topology and its Management for Ad-hoc Wireless Networks” in the year 2015.
